New to the GoodFather Dad Group Directory!

For today’s GoodFather Friday, I’d like to announce a few new resources recently added to my “GoodFather Dad Group Directory“.

DadTalk: Dads and Daughters
“The DadTalk group is primarily a forum for conversation among fathers, step-fathers, grandfathers and other father figures of daughters, regardless of marital status, age, and whether the parent lives with or away from the child. The group is pro-female and discusses the joys and challenges of fathering daughters in today’s world. DadTalk was begun by Dads and Daughters, the national nonprofit that works to make the world safe and fair for our daughters, and overseen by group volunteers.”

Special Dads with Special Kids
“Fatherhood is tough enough, and when you’re the father of a special needs child, the challenges expand even more. This group serves as a forum for fathers of special needs children (and adults) to express concerns, seek advice, share insights, vent frustrations, etc. Every topic is open for conversation, including issues dealing with work, wives, money, doctors, schools, and community services. This group is open to fathers dealing with any and all disabilities, cognitive and physical, from autism to muscular dystrophy. Discussions may often revolve around a specific diagnosis, with the topics driven by the members themselves.”

Dadstayshome.com
Dadstayshome.com is an experiment in social networking for stay at home dads. The current “digg.com” style feature allows stay at home dads to post articles or blog posts relating to SAHD issues.” Don’t forget to visit Stay at Home Dads forum while you are there.

Have a great weekend with the family, and don’t forget to tell them that the GoodFather says hello.
