Operation Special Delivery!

September 4th 2007 by Dr.MOZ in Doulas, New Parents

We recently learned about a great program called Operation Special Delivery (OSD) from Christy Shields who is new to the Dr.MOZ Doula List and just happens to be OSD’s Assistant Director.

Operation Special Delivery provides trained volunteer doulas for pregnant women whose husbands or partners have lost their lives, been severely injured, or will be deployed at the time they are due to give birth.

Visit Operation Special Delivery’s website to learn more about the program, to donate to OSD, or to volunteer your doula services. OSD also offers information on how to receive your CAPPA/OSD Labor Doula training, so doulas at all experience levels can become involved.

Stay cool out there!

Thanks for the info about OSD, and for supporting doulas and midwives with your directory Dr.MOZ!

OSD certainly is an important service, so were happy to help get the word out for the organization and the doulas and midwives volunteering their professional services! Feel free to submit a link if you know about other useful services for expecting military families.
