The GoodFather’s Swaddle Blanket and Wrap Favorites
September 14th 2007 by Dr.MOZ in Sleeping, Baby Products, New ParentsMy new friend and soon-to-be GoodFather Craig wrote in with questions about swaddling. Those interested in the GoodFather’s 5 Step Swaddle Recipe should jump to our partners at Clever Parents for today’s second-helping of GoodFather Friday. We’ll stick with the swaddling theme here at Dr.MOZ because I have a few finds that I think will help make swaddling a snap…or should I say, a wrap?
Some are traditional receiving blankets and others are more modern swaddling designs, but they’ll all make great additions to a new parents baby wear collection. Don’t see your favorite in the list? Click on the comments bubble to share your favorite wraps and swaddling tips!
- Organic Swaddle Set by Under the Nile: You just can have enough swaddling blankets and a set of 34″ x 34″ blankets are the perfect place to start. You’ll find the size and Under the Nile’s pesticide/chemical-free organic cotton to be a must have for your newborn. (available at Wee Little Sprouts)
- Swaddle Me Adjustable Wrap: This adjustable microfleece wrap by Kiddopotamus takes the folding and tucking out of the equation. The fasteners on the fabric wings keep baby secure, and they adjust for a custom fit as baby grows. *Bonus Feature: the leg pouch can be pulled down for an easy diaper change without unwraping your baby’s arms! (available at Bama Babies and Birthdays)
- LullaWrap: LullaWrap is a swaddling favorite for many reasons. Cloud b’s LullaWrap has a diamond-shaped design to simplify swaddling, and the small hood helps keep you newborn warm and cozy! (available at Supermommy’s Store)
