Baby Pictures: Movies for Parents
October 31st 2007 by Dr.MOZ in New Parents
I’m always up for promoting a service that helps new parents avoid the dreaded “stink eye” commonly given by those without babies (and baby gear) in tow. One such service “Baby Pictures” was recently brought to our attention by our Red Sox-loving bloggers the Boston Mamas. Movie theatres participating in the Baby Pictures program provide parents and babies with the latest movies at discounted prices. Each movie is presented at lowered volumes for babies’ sensitive hearing, and in dim lighting for easy baby care
during the show. They also provide you with stroller space and other perks like a food cart with concessions for sale.
The fact that they are marketing “breakfast goodies” tips us off to an obvious kink in the system…you’ll need to enjoy your picture show in the morning. Another negative is that the national list of participating theatres is a meager 19 locations in only 11 states. On the other hand, it won’t take much to convince your local movie theatre owner/operator to get on the Baby Pictures bandwagon. No one watches movies in the morning, so I’m willing to bet that you and your favorite pack of parents could walk in and name your price!
Have fun and stay healthy,
Dr.MOZ

That’s such a cool idea! I wish there was a theater like that near me!
