Many of you may already know about The Baby Cafe (especially those of you in England), but did you know that they were springing up in other countries as well? The Baby Cafe started as small drop-in cafe in the U.K. in 2005 where new and soon-to-be mothers could meet in a relaxed atmosphere while accessing formation from lactation consultants and facilitator. In three short years, The Baby Cafe has grown to 109 active cafes! While most are found in England, they have been quickly expanding to other locations including:
- Scotland (Buckie, Banffshire), Wales (Elliotstown, Caerphilly), Channel Islands (Jersey), New Zealand (Hawkes Bay), South Africa (Westville), Singapore, and the US (Melrose, MA).
Find a Baby Cafe near you at their international location list online, or just drop by to make a small donating to their Charitable Trust!
Have fun and stay healthy,
Dr.MOZ

i like the idea of a drop-in cafe where lac specialists are available. we tend to treat everything related to babies with a medical approach here in the US, and a less formal location like a cafe would be great. i can’t belive there’s only 1 baby cafe in the entire US!
