CPSC Recall Warnings (March 12th-20th): Toy Cars, Journals, Action Figures, and more

I’d love to feature a fun new baby product, but there have been quite a few recalls since our last post so it’s time that I made an update. The images above are only a small sample of the latest CPSC recalls between March 12th and 20th, so please view the full list below.
- Galison/Mudpuppy Recalls Wire Bound Journals and Calendars (Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard) Approximately 90,000 were sold in specialty and gift stores nationwide and on-line from August 2003 through December 2007 for between $7 and $10.
- MEGA Brands Recalls MagnaMan Magnetic Action Figures (Ingested Magnets Pose Aspiration and Intestinal Hazards) Approximately 1.3 million were sold in Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us, K-Mart and other toy stores nationwide from January 2005 through December 2007 for about $10.
- MEGA Brands Recalls Magtastik and Magnetix Jr. Pre-School Magnetic Toys (Ingested Magnets Pose Aspiration and Intestinal Hazards) Approximately 1.1 million were sold in Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us, K-Mart and other toy stores nationwide from January 2005 through December 2007 for between $10 and $40.
- Toy Sundae Sets Sold at Target Recalled by Battat Inc. (Due to Choking Hazard) Approximately 22,000 were sold in Target Stores nationwide from December 2006 through December 2007 for about $10.
- Battat Recalls Additional Magnetic Construction Sets (Ingested Magnets Pose Aspiration and Intestinal Hazards) Approximately 7,000 were sold at various retailers nationwide and online sellers from July 2005 through February 2008 for between $20 and $35. Note: 125,000 other Battat Magnabild Building Systems were recalled on January 23, 2008
- Toy Airplanes, Cars, and Motorcycles Recalled by S.U. Wholesale (Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard) Approximately 5,000 units were sold in Dollar Stores nationwide from September 2006 through November 2007 for about $1.
