You probably should have thrown away your fake hillbilly teeth on your own by now, but they’ve been included in the latest group of CPSC recalls in the off chance you needed that extra push. Be sure to review the full list by clicking on the link below.
- Wal-Mart Recalls Charm Key Chains (Due to Risk of Lead Exposure) The charms on the key chain can contain high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested and can cause adverse health effects. Sold at: Wal-Mart stores nationwide from April 2005 through April 2008 for about $6.
- Push Toys Recalled by Santa’s Toy Corp. (Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard) Surface paint on the glove, shirt, and pants of rider toy contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. Sold at: Retail dollar and discount stores nationwide February 2005 through February 2008 for between $2.50 and $3.
- FUNTASTIC Recalls Fake Teeth (Due To Violation of Lead Paint Standard) The gray surface paint on the teeth contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. Grocery, Drug, Convenience, and Mass retailers nationwide from March 2005 through March 2008 for about $2.
- Michaels Stores Recalls Seasonal Writing Pens (Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard) The seasonal writing pens’ surface coating contains high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. Sold exclusively at: Michaels retail stores nationwide from August 2007 through March 2008 for about $1.

i don’t expect stuff like this to be safe, but i didn’t consider the paint had lead.
