It's a fantastic write up on bamboo clothing. The best fact is that bamboo is naturally anti-microbial and very superior to cotton.

Hi Dr. Moz,
Great article on bamboo. In fact bamboo has really been turning up in a lot of products. There are some brands of mattresses that are using bamboo as a covering and it's just as soft as cotton or polyester and allows for great breathability. They make flooring, kitchen items and furniture out of it too. Just a few years ago bamboo wasn't as known as it is now and I think just getting folks more information about this "green" product would be beneficial to everyone.

Wow, thanks for the great post Dr.Moz! The one goodie deal passed before I remembered to check to see if you got my Dear Dr.MOZ email, but it looks like Bamboosa and Satsuma are sold in quite a few online boutiques.

Love ya the moose! Rose

Wow, I didn't even know they could make clothing out of bamboo. It sounds like a great idea, I'll ask about it at our local baby boutique. Great one Dr.MOZ!

Hi Dr. Moz,

Thanks so much to Rose for her query and your terrific response!

At Satsuma, we consider bamboo a miracle resource. Bamboo, which is a grass, grows to maturity in a short 2-3 years making it an easy to grow and sustainable resource. Pests won't go near the stuff, which is great for consumers because growers never use either conventional or natural pesticides on bamboo.

As far as style, you're right, but we love the all natural look and feel of bamboo and never dye our fabric with harsh chemicals.

There are so many great new fabrics on the market - thanks for sharing your thoughts on bamboo!

Regards,
Jennifer
