It's My Binky Pacifier Recalls

Today’s post concerns a popular line of customized pacifiers which was recalled yesterday (July 22nd, 2008)by the CPSC. Approximately 115,000 “It’s MY Binky” pacifiers were recalled due to pieces that can detach and become choking hazards. The recalled pacifiers

have “Japlo” imprinted on the front of the pacifier and come in blue, white, and pink. They were sold in Nordstrom stores and various baby boutiques nationwide for $5-$6 from Feb. 2006 - June 2008 with a multiple designs and words printed on them.

If you think you have one of these pacifiers, take them away from your baby immediately and return them to where they were purchased. Click on the link below for the full list of designs/text, and visit the CPSC page for more information.

    hey doc…do you know if this includes the “expressions” line of pacifiers? they seem to have the same colors and personalized notes, so I though I should check.

    That’s a good question Nic! I recommend looking for the mentioned “Japlo” imprint on the front of the pacifier. If it’s there, you should follow the CPSC link above to contact the manufacturer. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so put all pacifiers that you aren’t sure about out of reach of the baby until you know for sure.
