3 Delicious Designs: Inkspots, Eggs, and Andy
August 18th 2008 by Dr.MOZ in Indie Designers, Artsy Fartsy, Birth Announcements
I know how much time new and expecting parents put into locating the perfect baby announcements and shower invitations, so I thought I’d shoot a few recommendations
your way. This month’s paper prescriptions include three delicious designs by:
- Inkspot Workshop: This little Atlanta-based shop uses quality designer papers and has a fantastic collection available from their Etsy shop. (shown: Oh Boy Baby Shower Invitations & Matching Thank You Cards)
- Andy Pratt Design: You’ll find a fun collection of blank baby announcement cards from this NYC designer. Available in “boy” and “girl” themes and a great deal at only $15 for 8 cards with envelopes! (shown: Baby Rochenky Boy Pack & Baby Rochenky Girl Pack)
- Egg Press: If you frequent craft blogs, you’ve likely run across the Portland-based company Egg Press. Their hand-made cards and notes are second to none and available in limited quantities at boutiques like fawn&forest, so you should whip them up if you find a set that you like! (shown: baby card from their letterpress collection)
I’m always on the lookout for new designers, so please submit your favorite custom baby cards and invitations by clicking on the comment bubble above. Only independent shops and artists will make today’s post, so link accordingly.
Have fun and stay healthy,
Dr.MOZ

Hah! The girl and boy cards instantly grabbed my attention. I like the color, and the design is very cute. My brother is having a kid in December. I just might have to pick up a stack of these!

i like the middle design the best! my neighbor/friends are having a baby, and she’s almost forty… pretty high risk pregnancy, but i’m quite sure the couple will be please with the designs…

Those middle logos are a great example of truly amazing design. It seems to have a bit of constructivism and Italian futurism mixed in but with a modern flare. Great design work and now I’m just sitting here curious at what font you’re using for this design identity?
