Bibetta’s UltraBib VS Built NY’s Tidy Bibs

 UltraBibs VS Tidy Bibs

In the past, parents looking for bib that would catch food were forced to use a hard plastic bib with a scoop built into the bottom. The stiff bibs were easy to clean, but they were uncomfortable and babies found them easy to remove. This eventually led to fabric-based

bibs with pouches sewn into the bottom. Some were waterproof and came with sleeves, but the pouch on the fabric bibs didn’t always stay open to catch the continuous river of drool and baby food. My current favorites in the battle of the bibs:

  • Built NY Tidy Bib: It might look like wetsuit material…well, actually it is! Tidy Bibs by Built NY are easy to clean, machine-washable, and waterproof. The velcro tabs help keep the pocket in place and they come in four cool styles for only $7.00!
  • Bibetta’s UltraBibs: Now these great bibs are the European answer to the Tidy Bib. They too are built from neoprene, but come with velcro or snap fasteners depending on your preference. UltraBibs are available for $6.49 and ship internationally from Bibetta’s online store.

So let’s hear it parents, who makes your favorite baby bib? Click on the comments button above to share your favorite from the bibs above, or choose a different brand if you think it’s a contender for the this year’s best bib!

I’m putting my vote to the Hi-Chair Bib by http://www.PoiWear.com. It covers the my kid’s whole body without overheating him. Plastic or waterproof bibs are too hot for him and he yanks them off. Also, the food always passes the “tray” and falls in his lap. Two cheers for the highchair bib!

I really love baby chaleco. There are many fabulous styles that don’t apperar “bib like” and most importantly, they don’t soak through to clothing and the babies can’t take them off!

Well, my boys are teenagers now, but I would’ve loved to have these bibs when they were babies. It makes for much easier feeding time. I like both styles.
