New Ways to Roll: The Taga and Taurus Bikes!

New Ways to Roll with Taurus and Taga

Has anyone noticed the surge in strange bicycle inventions recently? I didn’t know the world was looking for new and exciting ways to ride, but I’ve seen quite a collection of unique contraptions sprouting up over the past few days.

TaurusOne interesting design is the Taurus concept bicycle by Julia Meyer. This stair-master inspired peddle system looks like a lot of work to me, but I would have loved it as a kid! What do think parents, would your kids like one of these?

TagaAnother recent invention worth mentioning is Taga which recently won the Kind and Jugend Innovation award. It’s a three-wheeled hybrid which combines the mobility of a bike with the holding-capacity of a stroller. The back portion of the bike folds to the front turning the Taga into stroller. You’ll need a a boatload of accessories to make the most of this design, but it’s nice to know you can go from a bicycle with kid carrier to a double stroller using the same frame!

I’m not sure what these products will cost, but I like where they are going with the new designs. What’s your vote folks…would you give them a “beauty” or “dootie”?

Have fun and stay healthy,
