Dozens of posts have been dedicated to fun gift ideas at great prices, but what about the all the high rollers out there? You know who you are…you bought Cabbage Patch kids by the dozen in the 80′s, and you paid someone else to stand in line and bring them to you. The economy is officially in the toilet, what better time to drop thousands of dollars on kids who would have just as much fun making a fort out of a cardboard box?
I’d like to announce, this year’s unbelievably overpriced gift…the Hand Crank Locomotive set for $4,100 at Hammacher Schlemmer! Not only is it big, shiny, and loud, but you can
even pretend that it’s “healthy” because the aluminum locomotives are propelled by arm movement. If the massive price tag doesn’t make you choke, perhaps the the $500 shipping fee will! It almost makes Kota look like a stocking stuffer doesn’t it?

I don’t how people do it. Our christmas is going to be small but good my kids don’t need to much just some clothes and a toy hope all is well for the rest of you.

Unbelievable! I don’t know anyone in my league able to afford such an elaborate gift for their child. I know I certainly can’t. My children have wonderful Christmases without us going broke in the process. And Christmas shouldn’t even be just about gifts anyway!

That’s a good question Jordan11. I think you would have “your help” build special tunnels through the walls of the estate to make room for the Hand Crank Train set. Anything for Jr!
