What’s Shakin’ this Week? Fun Gifts Baby!

There’s a lot shakin’ around the baby blogs this week, so I thought I’d get into the holiday spirit and highlight a few of my favorite gift ideas.
Anamalz at Cool Mom Picks: You simply can’t post about cool baby and toddler gifts without including Cool Mom Picks. One of my recent favorites are these handcrafted organic wood figurines made with non-toxic glues and paints! If that doesn’t do it for you, surely something from their 2008 Holiday Gift Guide will do the trick.
Happy Gloves at Apartment Therapy: Everyone intends on making a few of their gifts for a more personal touch, but things get crazy during the holiday season and we just don’t have the time. Luckily, softies (made from your new or recycled gloves) are fun to make thanks to this book of diagrams and easy directions.
We Covet’s find, Make Your Own Muppets: This is a little pricey ($130 online), but cool FAO Schwarz gifts like this tend to take a bite out of the wallet. Your little muppet-lover will get to design their very own muppet extra called a “whatnot” by choosing their favorite colors, facial features, hair, and outfits. They are 16″ tall functioning puppets that come in their own clear, drawstring backpacks!
P’kilino Desks at Mommies with Style: What a great gift for a little artist or reader in the family. Designed for kids 2-6, these easy to move desks will grow with the child and provide the perfect “kid space” for years to come. I just love the P’kolino Desk. It’s perfect for my 2 year old son. His books and crayons are everywhere! Thanks for sharing this, my son would surely love to have a desk for himself.
