Baby News: Tripp Palin, Parent Co Bankruptcy…

Welcome to the year 2009 baby fans! I hope your first day back is a smooth one so far. You’ve probably been off the grid at some point over the past ten days, so I thought I’d provide a short summary of what’s been shakin’ in baby news.
- Baby Tripp: Bristol Palin (Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter) and her boyfriend Levi welcomed a bouncing baby boy “Tripp” on Saturday, Dec. 26th. In related news, People magazine paid approximately $300,000 for exclusive rights to baby Tripp’s pictures.
- Bankruptcy for a Big Baby Biz: The Parent Company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Decenber 28th. Companies/brands owned by the Parent Company include PoshTots, Posh Cravings, PoshLiving, ePregnancy, BabyUniverse, eToys, my twinn, BabyTV, and Dreamtime Baby.
- Huge Baby Born: Richard Walker Sault was delivered by C-section at Saddleback Memorial Hospital in Laguna Hills, CA on December 23rd weighing an incredible 14 pounds 2 ounces!
- Twins for Romijn and O’Connell: Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell welcomed twin girls Dolly and Charlie on Janurary 3rd.

Will the baby get the money in trust, or will the parents spend it on shopping sprees?

This year many companies will become bankrupt, but very few will be from the toy industry!
