Cold Snap: Check on Friends and Neighbors!

Stay Warm and Check on a Neighbor!

The weather has been insane in the US this week with parts of the Midwest and Northeast experiencing some of the coldest temperatures in the last eight years. By “cold” I mean crazy-cold temperatures with wind chill in Massena, NY hitting 33 below zero during the night and a record low of 19 below zero in Flint, MI.

If you have friends or neighbors that live alone, this is a great time to check-up on them to make sure they are doing well. This is especially true for our friends in Maine who are seeing temperatures as low as 40 degrees below zero during the night.

Stay warm everyone!

Hi “foot” – Something tells me you were more interested in the link back to your website than the weather in France, but I happen to be a football fan so I’ll let it slide. Ha! Comment dit-on “stay warm” en français?

Here in the UK we also have been having some pretty bad weather. The UK government issued fuel grants to the elderly. The last time this was done as over 20 years ago.

In order for the grant to be issued the temperature has to fall below 0 for 7 consecutive days. That is pretty cold for us here in the UK!

Regarding looking out for neighbours there has been a lot of publicity on that front as well.

    Regards. John.

Hey Dr. MOZ here in beautiful sunny central coast of California it has been 80+ degrees for over a week! but we have a small storm headed our way tomorrow and it will dip down to 60 degrees and 40 at night! brrrr..I know I know we have it rough! Hey but we pay for the good weather out here! I will take your cost of living over the weather right now with the economy being the way it is! I might have to migrate out of state to be able to survive these hard times!
