Octuplets Born. That’s 8 Babies People!
January 27th 2009 by Dr.MOZ in Baby News, Twins and Multiples
In case you haven’t heard, a Californian expecting an incredible seven babies…actually delivered eight! The Bellflower hospital was buzzing with the news that the mother planned on breastfeeding the octuplets. According to the LA Times, she’ll build her milk supply with approximately 12 breast-pumping sessions a day and will rotate the babies allowing each chances to suckle at her breast. If the news of octuplets wasn’t crazy enough already, they were all delivered in five minutes flat! So what do you think will be the most difficult…eight babies, or eight teenagers?
Have fun ans stay healthy,

Oh, boy! First of all, I can’t believe she delivered all the babies in five minutes flat! Second of all, I can’t imagine eight teenagers! I have two and that’s enough for my husband and I to handle.

I got some twins brothers and sisters and i must say that it has been very hard for my parents to manage since they were all the same age they competed with each other a lot and striking also.
Concerning the question, it depends if the mother will be helped, which I hope because teenagers cause more problems I think, babies can only cry, whereas there are more issues with teenagers. Drogs, sex, school, bad friends, alcohol, etc.. Out of eight teens it is hard to keep a close eye on each of them,
But giving their kind of unique situation, i believe they will help each others a lot, and developp a strong solidarity!!!!!

5 minutes flat? How amazing. Sounds like the births went well. I don’t want to be her when they all hit 13 though, she’s going to be in for a time. And will she get any sleep at night for the first year?

I couldn’t imagine what this must feel like for them. What is it going to be like when they are all teenages. That house is going to be like WW3

I heard this on the news and I was amazed . I myself have taken fertility drugs to try to get pregnant with the fear of having more than twins and I can’t begin to imagine carrying 8 babies feeling them move and grow inside me , and breast feeding all 8 of them will be an amazing task I must admit . However my opinion as to whether she will have a harder time with 8 babies or 8 teenagers , I have to say the teens of course as I have one right now and he is a handful . Bingo

Yeah and I think she is delivering second time Octuplets. I also see this news either in BBC or may be in yahoo, I do not remember. All 8 babies are in healthy condition and they will get life time diaper as well.
In a single day there whole house will be full of babies’s smiles.
Simply amazing, recession is not here

How amazing! They are such a blessing, but its difficult as the octuplets grow to in there teens. Imagine 8 teenagers…one can reach the point of being complicated sometimes how much more having 8, but I bet there parents can handle this…

I am looking forward to see how the baby situation plays out and how they handle all the publicity they are getting.

It would really be a busy situation for her and her husband plus she really needs help from family or a hired nanny perhaps because taking care of 8 babies is no joke. I hope she will have a wonderful time having to love 8 bundles of joys..

This is insane. I thought having one at a time was bad. I always wonder how these families afford supporting 8 kids at one time. Kids that are spread apart are expensive enough. But to have eight babies all at once and pay for 8 sets of everything is so mind blowing. Wow. I’m in awe.

I think it’s wrong on numerous levels… not fair to the grandmother, not fair to the other children, not fair to the 8 new babies! But probably the clinic is most to blame
for not screening the mother and for doing such a dangerous implantation! Who knows what these babies face in the future.

To have 6 children already is a blessing. How are they going to feel to pushed aside for 8 babies who need constant attention. It would be wonderful if these were her only children. It is almost cruel to the new babies and the other children.

The mother will be rolling in the money soon. Already on welfare, why not implant all those embrio’s? Ask Dr. Phil for help. How about Oprah? Extereme makeover will build them a house. Does anyone understand what will happen? She will have so much help financially she doesn’t have to worry at all. This whole thing is a joke from the Mothers to the doctors to social services. FIND GOOD FAMILIES FOR THE KIDS. Do not put them in this horrible situation.

this is ridiculous. Not one dime of my money will this mentally unstable women get other than what the government takes from honest people to give to her to support her herd. The physician that did this should have his/her license revoked and charged with malpractice. How selfish to place that type of burden on your parents and on the other children. This cretin should have her uterus removed and her head examined.

I would think the 8 babies would be more difficult then the 8 teenagers. Although the 8 teenagers will be more expensive because they will probably want to do extra activities that cost money.

I think raising babies is more difficult . Come to think of it, feeding, changing diapers and putting them to sleep. And what if they all cry? It’s a disaster!
