Traveling With Kids? Lighten Your Load!
March 13th 2009 by Dr.MOZ in Family Trips, Strange Products
It doesn’t matter how old your kids are, the amount of gear needed when traveling is mind-boggling. Luckily the queens of clever at SpoonSisters.com are here to help lighten the diaper bag load when traveling with kids thanks to a few cool new products.
- Mini Folding Stools: help keep you off the dirty ground when you’re in need of a quick seat to get everything back in order. You just never know when junior will need a quick snack or decide to undress himself at the airport. I’m not kidding when I say “mini”, these little stools are 10″ high x 12″ wide and only weigh 1 pound 6 ounces (holds up to 225 pounds).
- Paper Soap: dissolves into regular, sudsy soap once it’s wet. Available in rose scent or antibacterial, they come in packs of 30 pieces inside a plastic container. Perfect for those little emergencies!
- Mini Travel Towels: come packed like eight little pills and become 11″ x 9″ textured towels. Napkins rip and wipes are often covered in chemicals which makes these mini towels great options for wiping clean grimy hands and faces when traveling.
Have a great weekend everyone and don’t forget to sign-up for this week’s giveaway before you leave for your trip!
Have fun and stay healthy,

Another way that my wife and I carry when we are traveling light is a mini-first aid pack. We put various items: small band-aids, trial sized antiseptics, a small sealed bag with needed medicines, etc. in a small plastic container about the size of a deck of cards. It stays in our diaper bag and has been a lifesaver.

Very useful if you travel in counties like Panama o Costa Ric, where the hygiene conditions are really bad – thanks for this tip…

I never heard of paper soap before. That is clever.

I assume the soap paper is for adults. Or is it ok for a baby with sensitive skin? Either way that’s a 10 on the cool scale.

That paper soap stuff is amazing! Haha. I have to get some of that.
Thank you.

I love the soap idea! I hate it when public restrooms are all out of soap. How do you teach your child good hygeine if the bathroom is out of soap? Great idea!
The towels look pretty handy, too!

I never heard of paper soaps myself before. They’re sure handy while traveling with kids. Kids love to explore everything with their hands and think about the germs they can get!

I have a one year old little girl and where ever we go we have to bring so many things. I will have to see which of these works for us – looks good.

I really like the folding stool idea. I could do with a few of these for my kids. Maybe they may even carry them themselves too!

While traveling with kids we need to carry many things earlier but using above tricks we can reduce the load which makes easy to go and have some lot fun.
Good ideas mate

Last year, my husband and I went on a road trip with our two year old. We wound up dragging along that little potty stool for him to sit on when we stopped to eat. I wish I could have had this fold up stool then.

WOW…I love the soap. That is too cool. And the stool. Better than sitting on my lap and getting us both covered in food.
