I remember reading this book many times as a kid. Now, when I take my kids to the dentist or doctor, this book is always on the table with old issues of “highlights”.

    I agree. I hope it’s a good movie also.

At first when I saw your post I thought, “OH NO, why did they make this into a movie.” But after I watched it, I have to say, it looks like it has the potential to be a really good movie. Thanks for sharing.

I also hope this is a good movie, I know I will take my kids to see it. It brings me back so many childhood memories! Thanks.

This is going to be great! how many parents are going to see this just because they grew up reading it or having their parents reading it to them, i mean i’m not sure what the plot will be but who cares, it’ll be great!

I can’t wait to take the kids to this! I will probably enjoy it more than they will! Fleur

    Lol.

Yeah. I think I will take up that prayer with you. It’s such a wonderful book, you’d think they wouldn’t screw it up.

    You’d think.

    Here’s hoping.

  10. Jeffrey Says:

To tell the truth, it doesn’t look promising to me, i hope they know what they are doing, i can see from the trailer that it can be a little too simple.

This is indeed a great movie that I totally going to watch with my son and enjoy the moments of being a child. Just watching the trailer I totally remember the things I did when I was a child. Things that yet very nice.

  12. Ryan Edward Says:

That was awesome. I just had a whole flood of memories hit me and all I saw was the trailer. I can’t wait to take the little ones to see it, I am sure that they will love it.

  13. Jack Says:

I can’t wait to see this.

This was my all-time favorite book as a kid. I’m sure it drove my parents crazy having them read it to me over and over and once I could read it for myself I’m sure I read it hundreds of time.

There’s no way it could be bad. Spike Jonze is directing and Karen O (the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) is doing the music on one of the best books ever created. Plus, the Arcade Fire (they did the song playing in the trailer) are awesome.
