The Mutsy Urban Rider Stroller, Nice!
June 11th 2009 by Dr.MOZ in Baby Products, New Parents, Strollers
I’m often asked by expecting parents for stroller recommendations and my answer has everything to do with (1) how it will be used, and (2) much they would like to spend. I found a fantastic deal on a high-end stroller today, so I thought I’d share the recommendation because you simply can’t go wrong with the Mutsy Urban Rider stroller. It goes from a
simple frame to an adjustable stroller (position baby facing front or back), and it has a car seat feature with every accessory you could imagine. You’re not done yet because it also holds a bassinet, a duo seat can be added for a second rider, and did I mention that it collapses down to a perfectly flat cube for storage?

Quite frankly, the Mutsy Urban Rider stroller has too many features and accessories to mention in a single post so I’ll just let you see it for yourself. If you’re looking for a quality stroller that will last through multiple kids and has everything but the kitchen sink, head over to Mercantila.com which currently has the best price I’ve ever seen at $575 with free US shipping in the lower 48 states. Now that I think about it…it does have a dinner tray, but I’m not yet aware of a kitchen sink feature in the US model.
Have fun and stay healthy,

Those strollers look fantastic! With my kids and interests, a more rugged stroller is certainly a necessity!

Really designed good keeping mind the actual requirements of the parents. The collapsing feature is really good that makes these convenient to carry even on tour.

Are momma’s really paying that much for baby strollers? Where is the cadillac emblem?
June 15th, 2009 at 2:56 am
I am pregnant and I will get a small baby for two months. I thought that I have to buy a stroller but you successfully solved my dilemma.

I haven’t heard of this brand before, but my wife and I have recently purchased a MacLaren Techno Classic Stroller and we’re loving it … after reading your review I may have to reconsider purchasing one of these as well …
excellent article,

That stroller can do double carrier too? That is impressive and the body of it is so small. I wish we had these things when we needed two strollers wit 1 and 3 year old kids.

the design is great. the color is amazing ! but……… the price is a little bit high. not a lot of moms will pay at this price!

Durability is a major concern when buying a stroller. Usually a higher price tag means that the product meets the toughness test. Beware of low end stroller options. They are typically made on the cheap using materials that break easily. If you are constantly waiting on replacement parts you will really regret not spending the extra money on a sturdier option.

Make sure that durability is your top priority when making a stroller purchase. While the price tag may be higher, the time you will save waiting around for spare parts to come in the mail will make up for it. Lower end strollers tend to break down very easily and are often not made with quality materials. This can also then become a major safety concern.

Looks like a pretty neat little design. My two boys have almost grown out of pushchairs but something like this may have been more suitable that the large ‘off-road’ Jane we bought. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but is was too bulky really, and a pain in shops and getting on buses etc. Something like this would have been much easier I think.

oh,this is so beautiful.when my baby is born. i definitely will try this.but the price is a little bit high!
September 29th, 2009 at 5:04 pm
Wow… it’s a unique and good stroller. In my country, they still have simple strollers with no modifications. I like it.
October 1st, 2009 at 10:57 pm
great design, but i am afraid the price is a little bit too high…maybe i can’t afford it.

The Mutsy Urban Rider is looker, no doubt about it. It’s got a lot of tricks and accessories too so no wonder many parents we’ve talked to rate it highly (over 7 out of 10 stars) in terms of versatility. They also rate it highly in terms of durability, quality, comfort, maneuverability and functionality.
However it’s not perfect for everyone, just like no pushchair is perfect for everybody. For a start, the Mutsy weighs 16.25kg (36 lbs) so it is by no means lightweight nor is it easily portable. Just compare the size of the wheels with other pushchairs and you’ll get an idea of how much boot space it will likely need.
Many of you may think it’s pricey, but the Mutsy Urban Rider consistently gets a vote from most parents as something that they definitely think is worth the money they’ve paid for it!

It’s a beautiful and unique stroller. But I think it is too expensive for our baby.

It’s a beautiful and unique stroller.

Ok, so my wife and I have the stokke stroller and we have been looking for an alternative to that. This looks very nice, so we’ll keep this brand and model in mind.

In my humble opinion the Mutsy Urban Rider is one of the most elegantly designed, and versatile Strollers available at the price point.
The Mutsy design seems sympathetic with a parents requirements (wheel base, collapsed dimensions, weight and storage capabilities) but I need to be confident with their choice of durable materials and product guarantee provides peace of mind.
Anyone own one?

I think it’s more comfortable for our baby than usual stroller, because of its big wheels. If there are stones in the road it will keep the stroller steady.

the design is amazing. but the price is a little bit high. if the price be lower a bit, i will definitely buy it.
