But all the weight will be on one side of waist…….wouldn’t it bother…? anyone used it..?

  2. Dr.MOZ Says:

Hi Bhavesh – Women tend to lean to one side when holding children on their hips, so they normally carry the weight on one waist. This puts a strain on the lower back, especially when kids get older. The belt and padding on the Hippychick Hipseat is designed to evenly distribute the weight of the child making them easier to hold, and easier on the back.

Nice equipment. Some mothers use a tick cloth and bind it to their shoulder.

    I think this is cool.

You don’t carry the baby all the time using this hipseat so it wont give you a lower back ache
    :)

  5. Nicole Says:

This must have a limit on how long the baby should be place in this Hipseat, or else may result in baby back injury.

  6. John Says:

This is needed to keep women’s backs from hurting and straining.

  7. TylerW Says:

Wow..this is pretty cool. Can’t think of any baby showers in the near future, but I might have to buy one for my wife and sister. Sounds like it should really help with that lower back pain I am constantly hearing about..

  8. Ted Says:

Looks like a good idea. Does it come in colors?

  9. Patricia Says:

This is interesting. I carry my 15 month old daughter on my hip all the time. I find that I have to switch sides because my arms get tired. This seems like something that would help.

Saw this and thought what a great idea! My little one is about 7.5kilos and i’m struggling to hold her for more than 15 mins! Great baby shower idea…

Looks like a great product. Does it help with people who already have injuries to their backs? Will the babies feel, in a sense, lighter? Thanks for the post.

This is a neat gift for expectant mothers. I have one question about having the baby on one side of the waist. Will that be all right for the mother’s back?

  22. Sara Says:

Thats a very nice and helpful thingie, I wish I had one of those when the kids where small ;-)

  23. Sean Says:

I’m a bit skeptical about this, but, who knows it just might work…

Looks like a practical gift. Very thoughtful.

  26. John Says:

Even as a dad I remember standing awkwardly trying to prop the kids up on my side many times. This is good if you’ll be standing for an extended period without a stroller.

  27. Nena Says:

A very cute gift for the new parents, it will really work very well

  28. arifin Says:

The Hippychick Hipseat looks interesting but the problem for me is I want to give baby shower gifts for twins , do you have any ideas for me that are suitable ?

  29. Christa Says:

Ok my friend had a baby shower not long ago and she got loads of practical stuff for baby, you know the usual stuff nappies. clothes, wipes, lotions etc…. but, and I know you will probably already have thought of this but everyone who came had to write it this special diary, a message for mum and baby and we all had to guess a sex and weight and write it in the book. I thought that was the best thing she received because it is something personal that she can look back on- clothes will be grown out of and nappies get thrown out but she can always remember her pregnancy when she looks in there and baby can see too when he is older, all the nice things people wished for him.

  30. Nick Says:

the “hippychick” hip seat, is there also one for guys? ” the hippybloke’s shoulder seat”? I mean, fathers like their kids too ;) Not on the hip though, i’d like one for my shoulder.. That would be awesome

    Cheers!
