August 4th 2009 by Dr.MOZ in Arts and Crafts, Childrens Rooms, Fun Projects, Home
Many of you enjoyed the “frame wallpaper” post which allows you to display your art on the wall, but what if you wanted to create your own chalk art gallery on the basement wall…or the refrigerator? We’ll it’s not hard to do thanks to HudsonPaint which is available in 24 colors and can be painted on just about everything including wood, plaster, wallboard, MDF
(medium density fiberboard), primed metal, and masonite! It’s washable, low-odor, and available for $24.99 a quart ($7 shipping) at HudsonPaint.com. Thanks for the tip Tammy!

Great find! I have always wondered why there hasn’t been more color choices for chalkboard paint… looks like a good addition for the basement.

Hi Doby – It can be painted on to a variety of surfaces (see blog post), and can be wiped clean. Green paint has been on the market, but this is the first time I’ve seen colors. Visit their website for distribution information, and for application tips.

This is such a great idea. I don’t even have kids, but would love to designate a wall to chalk-art when friends kids come over- or I’m feeling artistic.

That sounds awesome. I generally paint on walls but that’s much cheaper than the standard acrylic.
