Strange Products: Stylish Morning Sickness?

September 10th 2009 by Dr.MOZ in Pregnancy, Strange Products

I’ve seen quite a few strange products for new and expecting parents, but I can’t remember seeing promotional material that actually made me sick to my stomach…but in a good way. When you are selling products for expecting mothers with morning sickness like Morning Chicness Bags, you might as well go all the way and tell it like it is. In their

words:

Morning Chicness Bags: morning sickness vomit bags for the chic expectant mother

Not only is this the first time I’ve seen the word “vomit” used in a slogan, but it looks like the logo is getting ready to hurl as well. You’ll find all six sophisticated barf bags available online, each with leak-proof polyethylene lining and horizontal closure clips. Bravo Morning Chicness Bags, bravo!

Have fun and stay healthy,

I just don’t know about this product. It can be useful I’m sure but the idea of it kinda of stinks, if you know what I mean.

  2. Ray Says:

I’ll pass this to my friend who is expecting.

Great idea Ray…it will be a good reminder to feel nauseous in the off chance she forgot. ;)

It would be amazing if the airlines offered such a wide selection. I guess new mom’s have to get used to everything and this shouldn’t be an exception. If she ever had to use it at least no one would ever know that it wasn’t anything but gift bag.

  5. New Dad Chris Says:

These would of been handy for my wife. She was sick for the first 5 months of pregnancy!

  6. martha Says:

We suppose if the morning sickness stops, you could always use them as cute lunch bags

  7. Michele Says:

What an excellent idea! At least as said no one knows what is in them. Great to have on hand for the lil ones too!

I think it’s very practical to have one.

Bizarre stuff! But I can actually see this catching on if its not too expensive.

Haha. Nice idea. With two boys to keep us busy already I doubt we’ll be needing these but my little sister is expecting her first so I’ll mention them! Not entirely sure it’s possible to be too chic when experiencing morning sickness, but I applaud the thought.

  12. Sam Says:

Wow, how incredibly strange this is.. Kinda funny, though, now my pregnant wife can throw up with style. =)

  13. Alexandra Says:

I don’t know about this. its weird but yet again, seems to be logical. mothers to be need those little things

  14. TT Says:

So let me get this right, you feel sick (you don’t look stylish at this point), you get your bag out (do you look stylish now?), you vomit into it (I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t look stylish now?), and then you carry a bag of sick with you to the nearest bin (again, not sure how this could be stylish).

Surely this is like designing “stylish” toilet roll??

Very unique product and this is the first time that i’ve seen one, very useful for girls that are expecting. Will show this to my girlfriend, might come in handy in the future =)

  17. James Says:

That was really a cute design. A vomit bag with design and after vomiting in their you will throw that bag. Why waste the design?

  18. Lisa Says:

I love those bags what a lovely idea, I am thinking about featuring them on my shop. Although the bags I use for morning sickness are a different brand, but these are so handy! that i would love to have a bunch of it with me.

  19. Marie Says:

I can actually see quite a few people I know buying stuff like that… anything to look good, even when you’re vomiting! lol. yes I know, it’s hilarious.

Morning Chicness Bags are a good idea but in my case they are nearly 9 month too late.
