Brainwashing Tools for Grandparents!
September 28th 2009 by Dr.MOZ in Arts and Crafts, Grandparents
It’s been said that today’s parents have it easy compared to previous generations. Modern moms and dads have cell phones, diapers actually work, and car seats pop out of cars and magically transform into lightweight strollers. One major advantage that Boomers (now Grandparents) have on today’s parents…good music. Both Gen X and Gen Y have had a
few contenders through the years, but nothing that rivals 60′s rock bands. So, consider this your chance to pass along your good taste in music Grandma and Grandpa. Visit the Beatles Kids Coloring Book at Beatlefans.com for free printable downloads and let the brainwashing begin!
Have fun and stay healthy,

Great blog. And an awesome headline, or title. You don’t see headlines promoting grandparents to weasel their grandkids too often.

The 60′s and the 70′s was really the golden age for music, there are lots of talented musicians during that time. I’m just glad that my dad happens to keep his old tracks and I was able to listen to them.

Hey, cool idea, music from 60′s and 70′s is indeed excellent. I will show my kid this website with printed version with Beatles.

I dont think that grandparents need to brainwash our kids, usually they bond together because they have one common nemesis.

The friend of my enemy is my friend. Grandparents always seem to know the right thing to say to may the kids feel feel better and the parents feel worse..

Totally agree! The Beatles is still the best rock band to have ever lived. I’m so jealous of those people who actually had the chance to watch or listen to them when they were still so big…

I discovered the Beatles when I was about five years of age. Not that I hadn’t heard their music before, but I was only informed of who John, George, Paul, and Ringo were at that time. I must have first heard the Beatles’ music during my mother’s third trimester. I believe that my personal experience speaks for approximately 35% of the industrialized Western world. The only people who don’t like the Beatles are people born before 1940 who can’t stand that rock’n'roll racket, and musical snobs of various stripes (heavy metal, classical, jazz, ethnic Albanian polka aficionados).

“The Beatles!” we’d always yell from the back seat. This was less because we recognized the group’s catalog and more because we realized our parents only asked us this question when a Beatles song was playing. The Beatles were so much more to them than just a band: They were a cultural legacy that needed to be passed down to us, the babies of the baby boomers.

Kids today should give importance to their grandparents, and of course one thing they love most is The Beatles! A great bonding moment is to dicuss a common interest..:)

What a neat retro coloring book. I think parents and grandparents will enjoy this much more than kids. Most toddlers had never heard of the Beatles until the latest version of Rock Band came out
