Great post I wish the company success it looks like a lovely device and a fantastic idea, but I assume the screen is using some sort of OLED technology (judging by the supposed 1W power usage and semi-flexibility).

This looks really nice. And such a good idea – it is much easier to distribute knowledge and education through this. I think OLPC is doing a great job!

Sounds like a lot of other concepts… Great in theory, but not practical in the real world. It looks like a lovely device and a fantastic idea, but I assume the screen is using some sort of OLED technnology (judging by the supposed 1W power usage and semi-flexibility). An 11-inch OLED TV costs around £3500 at the moment, and the main barrier keeping it from appearing in PC Monitors is the price at the moment. So yeah – $75 for that? Maybe in 10 years time.
