The Embrace Infant Warmer
January 28th 2010 by Dr.MOZ in Healthy KidsJane Chen demonstrates the portable, low-cost “Embrace Infant Warmer” incubator designed to save the lives of millions of premature babies around the world. It may look like a simple sleeping bag at first glance, but the removable (and re-heatable) pouch keeps a
constant warm temperature for the baby for4 to 6 hours. This amazingly simple idea is scheduled for release this year and will only cost $25…less than 1% the cost of today’s modern incubators found in the US.
Have fun and stay healthy,

India needs affordable heath solutions. Majority of the Indians can’t afford health care. This product will save more lives.

@ Sarah – I’ll agree it’s a great design, but it’s not something you’ll see in the baby registry. The Embrace Infant Warmer is a low-cost incubator for premature babies born in developing nations.

It’s a nice work, but will it be distributed to developing nations? I mean in local baby shops or clinics?

My first born was put in an incubator for almost two weeks and the cost is really insurmountable that we have to borrow from relatives paying for the hospital bills. This is a great help to those families and babies in need. I just hope this would also be distributed here in Asia.

Very cute. I’ve got 3 kids: two boys (age 6 and 4) and a little girl (age 2). My wife & I are beyond the infant stage but it’s still interesting to see the newest products for newborns.
