April 11, 2010
Yesterday my daughter was cleaning her one yr old sons room and he was in his Childesigns Belmont Bed that she had earned during her pregnancy thru a non profit bed program for crib safety. Her back was turned to him and she heard a loud pop and thought he had thrown one of his toys onto the floor. She turned to him and there he was standing up in the bed with the drop down side rail falling forward and luckily she caught him as he was going with it. In the beginning we checked the CPSC regarding all the drop side cribs that were being recalled and at that time iChildesigns was not on the list of cribs...... after this incident yesterday I checked again and this one definitely needs to be added to the list. I called and left a msg with the CPSC but since she got this thru a program....I wonder who will be responsible to replace it? Don't purchase a bed with a plastic part on each side of the rail.

That is really not good especially to those who bought it and didn’t know that it’s dangerous to their babies.

Thank you for the articles and updates. I don't know what's going on in the world with all the recalls. I thinks social media affects spreading the damage faster.
