Strange Products: Baby Tooth Charms?
July 8th 2010 by Dr.MOZ in Gift Ideas, Strange Products
Regular readers will agree that I have a knack for finding strange baby shower gift ideas, but today’s feature might seem a little…odd. Losing a baby tooth is a major milestone worth celebrating, but what do you do with it once it’s fallen out? If you are Le Knockout of
Portland, Oregon you turn the tooth into a blinged-out memento by having it plated in silver or solid 14K gold!
I kid you not baby fans. Ship your little one’s baby incisor or canine tooth to Le Knockout and you’ll receive a custom plated keepsake in 2-4 weeks depending on your order. Charms can be customized with engravings and embellished with birthstones, so visit Le Knockout online or drop by their Facebook fan page to learn more.
Have fun and stay healthy,
> thanks to Springwise!

Aww, i like to have the silver one. Great as a gift for moms.
July 9th, 2010 at 4:02 am
I guess the gold one is really awesome … must buy
July 9th, 2010 at 5:06 am
haha, that’s a terrific idea and there’s certainly people who would buy this. I would, in fact when I get older and my teeth are all falling out. I might have to send the last one away to Le Knockout (great name too)!

I like the one with letter on it.
July 9th, 2010 at 8:51 am
That’s so cool!

@ Krishna – You “guess” the gold one is awesome? You better like it a little more than that…it will cost ya’ $399!

Ugh. I don’t like the thought of that.
July 10th, 2010 at 2:18 am
Nice baby charms. I like the silver one much better than the one with the letter on it. I’d like to get one for my baby.
July 10th, 2010 at 5:22 am
Seems to be different items…. Very difficult to choose the best one among these….It’s a little treasure for parents:)
July 10th, 2010 at 11:28 am
The silver one is better!
July 10th, 2010 at 6:43 pm
ahah rly sweet
July 10th, 2010 at 9:21 pm
wow. this is so cute! where could i find something like this?
July 10th, 2010 at 9:40 pm
I think that is one of the weirdest things I’ve seen on the net. Who would wear a tooth?
July 11th, 2010 at 7:54 am
I think this is brilliant. This would be a nice gift to give. Definitely something to treasure. Thanks for sharing this.
July 12th, 2010 at 2:44 am
Wow!!! I love the one with alphabet engraved on it.
July 12th, 2010 at 4:07 am
LOL Sort of makes me think that one day we’ll literally have thought up all possible products!
July 12th, 2010 at 4:56 pm
Wearing your child’s tooth as jewelery seemed strange at first, but as you begin thinking about your child and how you can wear a part of their childhood, it touches a mother’s heart.
July 12th, 2010 at 5:41 pm
My daughter just lost her first two teeth and I am going to have her first one engraved
nice find Dr!

I find it brilliant idea for keepsake and treasure memories of your children. I am a mother of two. I have kept some of their baby tooth in a jar when they were fallen out but its so sad that i lost them because they kept on putting it under their pillows hoping it would turn into a coin
I love it customized with engravings or embellished with birthstones!

Strange? for me is very nice. Thanks for the sharing! Have a nice day!!
July 13th, 2010 at 6:06 am
At first I thought these were a bit strange but after a second look I think that they’re cute and a lovely gift. Plain silver gets my vote.
July 13th, 2010 at 6:51 am
Really nice idea..specially silver one and gold one with letter looking awesome and children won’t fell shy to wear..
July 13th, 2010 at 11:22 am
Very strange indeed. Thanks for a laugh Dr.
July 14th, 2010 at 5:07 am
Wow… this is definitely a weird one. Who would’ve thought that baby tooth would be good as gifts??
July 14th, 2010 at 6:00 am
14 K gold wow! Remember when you’d lose a tooth in elementary school the nurse would give you a little plastic white tooth container to put the tooth in. I guess that concept that upgraded some. Neat product, i’m sure there’s plenty of people out there willing to pay the money for it.

I think it’s a cool idea. My mom did one of those shoe bronzing things for my baby shoes and I really treasure those today. A custom plated baby tooth keepsake is a great idea. Kudos to the company who makes these. It’s a nice little niche idea.
July 15th, 2010 at 12:58 am
This is really great. I mean every mom wants something special to remember the childhood of their daughter or son. Children will not stay as baby forever. I guess this is something that every mom should have.
July 15th, 2010 at 5:35 pm
Um… am I the only one who finds this completely creepy? I put this in the same basket as people who get their pets stuffed by a taxidermist. Surely you have enough fond memories, pictures and evidence of your children and their journey as they grow without having to tote around an expensive morsel of them jangling around with your keys….??
July 16th, 2010 at 12:42 am
Aww, so nice. Thanks for sharing. Brilliant idea, its a good keepsake from your babies. Especially if they’re all grown up and independent now. Brings back lots of memories.
July 16th, 2010 at 1:12 am
What a clever idea! Such a great gift that would last forever…very impressed.
July 16th, 2010 at 2:27 am
Some of the offers and posts from your blog seems very strange…but being a regular reader, I began to like them so much. Some are extremely funny while others are the perfect gift. (eventhough at a first glance may seem strange, I bought some and made a terrific present for different occasions)
Thanks and keep it up!
July 16th, 2010 at 4:15 am
So cute and stylish at the same time. I like the silver one.
July 16th, 2010 at 4:44 pm
Cool Idea i like the silver one too
July 16th, 2010 at 9:19 pm
I think, that’s a terrific idea and there’s certainly people who would buy this. and it’s look like a cute and a lovely gift. thanks for the sharing!!
July 18th, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Is that gold with a diamond in it? Or do my eyes deceive me? I do think they are a little odd however, but I suppose they would make a unique gift.
July 19th, 2010 at 3:02 am
Wow. Nice! I am sure they don’t sell them here in Nigeria though. I like the silver ones.
July 21st, 2010 at 1:48 am
They were real nice until I saw the price. $299 for solid silver? Silver is pretty cheap!
July 23rd, 2010 at 1:19 am
These are fun, different, imaginative but most of all…bonkers! Nevertheless, I want one.
July 24th, 2010 at 10:07 am
That is awesome. I would love to have them for my future children because I am planning to have a baby again. Its a great treasure and memories to keep =)
July 31st, 2010 at 7:09 pm
I really like this idea and I can see a lot of mommies buying this.

Take a tooth, add some bling and voila! A gift that mums will love.
