Something Different by More of Me Maternity
July 28th 2010 by Dr.MOZ in Clothing, Maternity
When you manufacture gifts and gear for new parents like I do, you’re exposed to a lot of maternity clothing ads. Most show incredibly pregnant women whooping it up at fancy social gatherings or posing confidently in maternity swimwear by the pool. Somehow…ads
never seem to show women with morning sickness running for bathrooms, or tugging on their spanx before meetings. Finally, the maternity line More of Me takes a major step forward by introducing something completely different. Shown above:
a) Favorite Shirtdress: This is the unmistakable look which translates to, “What are you looking at dirt bag?” Pregnant women find it useful to ward-off leering men, or just about anyone who looks like they might come-up and touch a total stranger’s belly. On that note, don’t touch strangers…pregnant or otherwise.
b) Take it to the Maxi Dress: Swollen ankles are unavoidable side effects of pregnancy, and according to the ad copy the ‘Take it to the Maxi Dress’ was designed to hide them. Strangely enough, the model’s ankles don’t appear to be swollen at all which might explain why she’s showing them off in such an odd pose. On that note, I’m starting to wonder if this model is actually pregnant.
c) Color Block Kimono Dress: Here we see the model finally come to the end of her rope in a hormonal rage. Something tells me there could be a toddler involved…perhaps up in a tree above.
d) Cupcake Tanks: Made from eco-friendly Tencel, cupcake tanks are advertised as perfect for layering or wearing alone. It certainly looks comfortable, but I’d go with layering if you plan to leave the house. By “layering” I mean, put on a pair of pants…or something.

Who said that maternity clothes had to be boring? Great outfits, and definitely very inspired colors.

Good grief, how things have changed since I was pregnant with my babies! The clothing looks very comfortable for expanding bellies, but the models were…strange. Like Victoria Secrets meets pregnant crazy woman.

The blogs gives great tips for the husbands who have pregnant wives, also for a friend who wants to give a gift or present to a pregnant friend. Point to remember is, pregnant women do have also the right to be a fashion icon in their own way.

They look rather more appealing, even if they are pregnant with those clothes and even seductive. I also agree with TessaM they do look like pregnant victoria secret models LoL

Interesting concept! The best thing a mother can give to the world is her child.

If I was pregnant right now, I would definitely wear these lovely dresses! The dresses that I wore when I was pregnant were not that appealing, it made me feel so ugly.

Thanks so much for posting, when my partner was pregnant she found it so hard to find gorgeous maternity wear and often ended wearing ill fitting clothes that made her feel even bigger, I’ll tell all my friends about this site!
