The Family that Joined the Dark Side
September 9th 2010 by Dr.MOZ in Geeky Fun
I always thought that I liked Star Wars as much as the next guy, but then I ran across this shot on the blog Us and Them. It was there where I learned that “the next guy” is on a completely different level. Tip of the hat to you geeky Stormtrooper family…wherever you
are.
Have fun and stay healthy,

Fantastic, where can you get these from, my kids (and geeky my wife and me) would love these. Called my first son Luke, no prizes for guessing who we named him after. haha.

I don’t understand this post. I must not be getting something basic here.

I really like this – I wonder where you get them from and do they also do Simpsons ones?

@ Wilburn – Americans have a strange practice of putting stickers representing each family member on the back windows of their vehicles. The stickers are usually small, simple stick figure drawings…but this particular family used Star Wars characters (Stormtroopers) for each family member.
@ Lisa and G – I haven’t actually seen these for sale, I’m assuming they found larger and small Stormtrooper stickers and drew a bow on one with a sharpie. Feel free to find Chewbacca or Yoda stickers for a more positive representation.

This is just absolutely awesome and takes geekiness to new height.

I’ve seen a few similar blogs with these kind of bumper stickers on, but never really understood them. Now that I do; damn that’s a whole new level of geeky.
Might have to do the same

Haha! Never seen anything like this before in the UK. It’s funny actually, me and a few mates were talking about how we hate all of the common things you see in the back windows of other people’s cars, but honestly, if I saw this, I would be pretty impressed!

I was wrong, you can actually buy these along with quite a few other cool designs including a Vader family! Check out the entire collection at Kelly Kreations on Etsy.

Hahaha! Its so cute and funny. Mom is even sporting a cute ribbon. The guys of Kelly Kreations really know their stuff

Several of my neighbors where I live have these on their minivans or SUVs, but not as Star Wars themed, just male or female stick figures for the husband, wife, kids, even dogs and cats. I have yet to see one with two males or two females, but this town is pretty liberal so I wouldn’t be surprised to see same-sex versions as well.

Wow, this is really unique…most stickers that i saw are usually common and boring. I kinda like this stuff, im also a starwars fan!

Kelly Kreations is quite creative! This sticker is perfect for every hardcore Star Wars fan. I wonder if they will have any trademark issues though. Really cool post, thanks.

Checked out Kelly’s Creations on Etsy and I must say that that is absolutely hilarious! It just so happens that last week was the first time I ever heard about the ‘Etsy’ website, and for those of you who are not familiar with it, it is a website for people to use to sell handmade goods. So apparently someone out there is cutting these things out of plastic material with an exacto knife! The Star Wars ones are only $6 for the entire set. Seems like an awful lot of work for a paltry $6 if you ask me! But it would be interesting to see what kind of volume they are getting…

Hahaha, funny picture
Thanks for this post!
Great blog by the way!

Ha, I like how the one for his wife has a bow. So I guessing its three sons he’s got there too. A pink storm trooper would be pretty funny, but I guess it would mess up the whole color scheme and the seriousness of it all.

Your post so interesting, where can you get these from, my parents would love these. Called my brother lalu , no prizes for guessing who we named him after. laugh
