Safe Kids USA reports that more than one million children ages 5 and under are accidentally poisoned, and 40 percent of these tragic poisonings are from prescription drugs and medications. One easy way to keep the home safe is to put all medications in lock boxes (up high), and it’s best to do this before your baby can stand so you won’t be caught off guard. Your little guy will develop quickly, and before you know it…he’ll be running laps around the house and sticking everything he can find in his mouth. Any wall-mountable box with a lock will do the trick, but you can’t go wrong with a cool Cross Design Medicine Cabinet like this one from Heal’s.
